The Afterlife of Whales™  Anime Fund supports the development of an original animated story,
that features two Ainu-Japanese sisters rising from poverty as they care for whales and dolphins, each in their own way. 
The Afterlife of Whales™ complicates perspectives on animal welfare and wildlife conservation in a humanizing multi-cultural anime with science at its core. Produced in Japan,
it emphasizes dialogue and discussion in place of hate and anti-Asian racism, strongly supportive of AAPI, LGBTQ+, and First Nation communities alike.

Ultimately The Afterlife of Whales™ is all about how we can better understand each other; exploring thirty-three species of cetaceans in a three season odyssey.
