About the Fund
While research advances standards and certification encourages systemic adoption, immediate mitigation remains urgent.
The Bird-Friendly Building Remediation Fund supports direct installation of approved bird-friendly window films and façade treatments in buildings where collision risk is documented and preventable.
Contributions support:
- Pilot retrofits in schools, faith institutions, and community facilities
- Installation of approved bird-friendly films, glass, screens, other approved treatments
- Pre- and post-installation monitoring
- Transparent reporting of conservation outcomes
- Demonstration projects that encourage broader adoption
Projects are selected based on documented collision risk, ecological impact, and equitable community access considerations.
