While research advances standards and certification encourages systemic adoption, immediate mitigation remains urgent. ZLI's Bird Protection Glass Remediation Fund
supports direct installation of approved bird protection window films and façade treatments in buildings where collision risk is documented and preventable.  Projects are selected based on
documented collision risk, ecological impact, and equitable community access considerations.
The Fund supports:

Pilot retrofits in schools and community buildings
Installation of approved bird-friendly products
Pre- and post-installation collision monitoring
Transparent conservation reporting
